I have a show coming up on March 11th.

Opening reception: Friday, March 11 from 6-9 pm. This event also celebrates the “Grand Re-Opening” of this store, to be located at 104. S. Washington St. in downtown Hinsdale. Drinks and appetizers will be served. Trunk show with David Yurman eyewear.

Artist Doug MacDonald has developed an abstract body of work that is constantly redefining its expression of the meaning of beauty and the physical space it inhabits. Acrylic on canvas paintings crack and tremble with the memories of his life in the Marine Corps. But instead of resorting to representational narratives, he draws from the raw emotional states behind the experiences and uses bold color, intricate layering and the element of chance to bring the work to life.
