36X36 Acrylic on canvas with about 5 coats of high gloss varnish. It has a lot of texture ranging from thick drips to crackles and layers of paint to give it a lot of depth.

These are some 12 x 12 that I just finished. I used a high gloss gel and some crackle past to make the textures and then finished them off with several coats of a hi-gloss varnish.

This will make the third time I have painted on this canvas. Its going to stay this way for a while whether I like it or not. =) Its on a 36x60 gallery canvas. I'll try and get some close-ups because there is a lot of cool textures on this one that you cant see in this photo.

Its been a challenge to work on this painting. I was given a song as the inspiration. But my friend Mike has been very patient and has explained what the song means to him and his girlfriend so that has made it a little easier.
Well I finished it. I hope they like it. I haven't really done a painting like this before and it was a different process for the inspiration too. I'm not sure if it was what Mike was thinking but this is what I saw when I listened to the song.

This is my latest project.

Its a 60x36 inch stretched canvas and it is huge. I put a texture on the canvas to start with and am just waiting for it to dry. Can't wait to start painting this one.

The name of this painting is "152". Which is a significant number to two friends of mine and thats what inspired me in the creation of this painting. This piece is 48x24 on stretched canvas. Being the first large painting I had done this ended up taking me much longer to paint than most. Not because of the sheer size but because of all the detail that it demanded. There are etchings in the paint itself and many layers of paint that give it its rich color and interest. I hope you like it. SOLD
